NORTHWEST OUTWARD BOUND SCHOOL
September and October of 2018 I had the privilege of spending 50 days amongst peaks and seas in the Pacific Northwest with a group of 8 other individuals through Outward Bound. Most of those days were spent in constant transition between one island and the next ridge; amongst all the loading up of kayaks and the packing up of camps, the present moments seemed to be the only thing that mattered. The sea provided space for conversation and silence. The mountains provided reliance and perseverance embraced through community and lots of laughter. This expedition reminded me the value found in shared experience and the it’s secret in creating common ground. These still shots are small glimpses of the beauty of those days.
